One of my absolute favorite novels! I can't count how many times I've read it, and each time makes me love it more.
This is one of the most delightful books I've read in a long time - as one of the stars of Hamilton, Odom presents his life as a series of lessons about doing your best and finding your path. It's beautifully written and so easy to take around as a small hardcover. If you're a fan of Hamilton, or if you're looking for a graduation present, or if you just need an uplifting reminder of the good in the world, this is the one!
What a great biography! Chernow brings Grant to life and presents an incredible portrait of a man who was not only a soldier, but a good husband, a hopeful leader, and an addict struggling to recover.
A charming collection of fiction from one of Hollywood's greats! Utterly fantastic!
Dark and twisty novel in Victorian England, with science and romance and everything you could want.
I love Fitzgerald, especially his short stories, and this is an incredibly edited collection. Like Harper Lee's Go Set a Watchman, this book only gets better when you put it into the historical context. So much love for Scott!
SO GOOD! This might be one of my favorite fantasy books I've ever read - it's original and twisty and so clever. Plus, the whole series is out and it's all AMAZING!
PERFECTION. Pure and simple.
This book is an amazing look at one of the most inspiring Olympic athletes. Chariots of Fire did a great job of showing Liddell's enthusiasm for the sport, but Hamilton takes his story further to his missionary work in China and his internment during World War II. An inspiring look beyond the gold medal - perfect for the Olympic season!
This is totally spectacular. Rebanks' writing is simple and elegant, and he gives great insight into the world of shepherding. Amazing book!
All I can say is WOW.
Intense, fascinating, and totally thrilling! Le Carre makes espionage magic with this book - and it's going to be a TV series soon.
Brittany: THE BEST SPY BOOK EVER. Okay, maybe not ever, but definitely up there. You'll laugh, bite your nails, learn something, and hold your breath again and again. One of my all-time favorites.
Brittany: It all begins when Dad is in charge of the kids and they run out of milk. What seems like a boring trip to the store turns into a wild adventure with time machines, wumpires, and, fortunately, the milk. You can't help but laugh out loud through the whole thing-a must read for grown-ups and kids alike!
Brittany: The most perfect of all American literature - you MUST read this book. Be sure to check out Harper Lee's latest, Go Set a Watchman, out July 14th! http://www.thebookseller.biz/book/9780062409850
The ultimate novel! I love everything about this and wish I could just keep reading it over and over again!
